Amtrak Train Service
Amtrak Illinois is a partnership of Amtrak and Illinois Department of Transportation to provide service from Chicagao to Milwaukee, Chicago to St. Louis, Chicago to Quincy, and Chicago to Carbondale.
In Kankakee, Illinois DOT sponsors Amtrak Illini and Saluki trains to Carbondale via Champaign and Mattoon, with four daily trains to and from Chicago as part of the Amtrak MidwestSM
network. The historic depot is also a stop on the daily Amtrak City of New Orleans train, part of the railroad’s National Network via Memphis.
